Brown-Forman set to roll out “one-of-a-kind” Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition

Brown-Forman Travel Retail is ready to roll out its highly-anticipated Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition.

As reported, the expression is regarded as the company’s “most ambitious travel retail offering to date”. Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition will begin appearing on shelves in selected duty free stores, including those in Asia, next month. It has a RRP of US$$1,500 and will remain exclusive to travel retail until May 2020.

Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition: A “one-of-a-kind” offering in travel retail.

Brown-Forman said the bottle is designed to “evoke the iconic Woodford Reserve bottle silhouette”. It is engraved with both the Woodford Reserve and Baccarat logos and its crystal stopper carries Woodford Reserve’s initials. The bottle is presented in Baccarat red box with doors that rotate upon opening.

Brown-Forman Travel Retail Senior Vice President and Managing Director Marshall Farrer said: “This is literally a one-of-a-kind offering that combines the world’s finest bourbon with the world’s finest crystal with both representing craftsmanship at the highest level.”

Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris will offer tastings during the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition.

The Baccarat Edition’s launch in Asia is being supported by the appearance of Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Chris Morris at the upcoming TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition (Basement 2 N1). Morris will conduct tastings and discuss the bourbon-making process at the Woodford Reserve Distillery.

Brown-Forman said having Morris on-stand “speaks volumes” about the importance of Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition to the company’s travel retail portfolio.

“Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition will set an extremely high standard for luxury premium products in travel retail,” Farrer said. He added that the “positive reception Woodford Reserve is receiving from Asian shoppers, and its potential in the important markets of that region” would make Morris a welcomed presence at the Singapore exhibition.
